Jaime Cochran is a 1992 graduate of DuPont High School in Belle. Except for fifteen months living in Salt Lake City, Utah, she has spent her whole life in West Virginia.
Cochran held several positions before joining the Department of Veterans Assistance, including a claims processor for Acordia National and eleven years at the United States Postal Service, which she left to return home and begin work at the cemetery as an office assistant as the cemetery was being constructed.
Her extensive knowledge of cemetery operations and skill in working with bereaved families made her the obvious choice to be the cemetery Director upon the retirement of her predecessor. Cochran is not a veteran and feels that her service at the cemetery is her way of serving veterans and their families. She and her staff take great pride in ensuring the cemetery is a peaceful and beautiful place to honor veterans and their families.
