Ethan serves as the Director of Social Services for the Department of Veterans Assistance.
Anderson was born and raised in Jackson County, West Virginia, and is a 2011 graduate of Ripley High School. Driven by a strong desire to help others, He graduated from Marshall University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work in 2015.
Anderson joined the Department as a social worker at the West Virginia Veterans Home in 2017 and began working on his Master's in Social Work, which he completed in 2020. HIs dedication to ensuring that the needs of veterans and their families throughout the state are met drove him to play a vital role in the development of the Department’s Suicide Prevention Program. He was also selected as a co-lead of the West Virginia Governor’s Challenge to Prevent Suicide Among Service Members, Veterans, and their Families.
